New dates for 2011 classes and workshops.

Hello. Yes, we are back from Ireland , we were only there a week but life has been somewhat chaotic since, not helped by me contracting Labyrinthitis for 6 weeks. Ugh, very debilitating and has pretty much devastated all plans we had made for stocking the shop for Christmas sales. We are closing the shop for January, a major re-org is required in all areas and the only way to do this effectively is to close. We will re-open on Saturday 5th February.
On a positive note the dates for the first few 2011 classes and workshops are now up on the website. As always please book early as there are only a six places per class. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and hope to see you in 2011. Take care in this nasty weather ... Wendy and Nigel xx

I'm back ... at last !!

Hello crafters !!!
Having deserted the dales of Derbyshire for the Ironbridge Gorge you would be forgiven for thinking that we had totally disappeared from the crafting scene !! Not at all.
We are now very firmly rooted at the Maws Craft Centre in Jackfield, Shropshire.

We moved at the end of April. It's been a very busy few months what with sorting out the craft units, creating stock and opening the shop. Not to mention moving house at the same time !! We are living here at Maws, in a house created from part of the old tile factory. Thanks to my brother and his woodworking skills and my wonderful friend Diane and her decorating skills the house is now functional. I have yet to make the curtains ... very large and unusual shaped windows.. and as yet we haven't put up any of our artwork. The hole under the stairs is crammed with junk that we cannot find a home for but all things considered we arn't doing too badly. The priority was the workshop/craft rooms/shop. It's still somewhat of a moveable feast as we think of better ways to display etc . It's been a busy summer, lots of tourists .. there's a wealth of history/museums etc here in the Gorge and it's very popular. Nigel likes to keep me out of the way of the customers ... the shop is his domain ... I get to lurk in my craft room creating !! Oh woe is me .... NOT !!!!

There are loads of classes/workshops now on the website www.craftingallsorts.co.uk. but spaces are very limited so be quick if you want to book a place.
We are off to Southern Ireland for a week, first holiday in three years and the first for only the two of us for about 10 years! We are so looking forward to it ... leaving the laptop at home, so having resurrected this blog it will now lie dormant for a couple of weeks. hey, ho !!
There's a very cold glass of guiness with my name on ... just has to be done !!
Take care all,
